Puzzle & Dragons announced that the floodgates are open, and this mobile puzzler has amassed 15 million downloads in North America.
GungHo Entertainment Online, the studio behind bubble-gum brawler Ninjala, has announced that on the go match 3 Puzzle & Dragons has totalled some gigantic numbers in North America. Since its launch in 2012, iOS and Android owners have fused together countless hours of entertainment by picking puzzles apart and putting together similar shades of dragons.
“In over a decade since we launched Puzzle & Dragons, the global community has grown to incredible heights. Today’s milestone is a testament to our North American community’s love and enthusiasm for Puzzle & Dragons,” said Jun Iwasaki, President and CEO of GungHo Online Entertainment America. “Thank you to our many Puzzle & Dragons players; your support allows us to keep expanding upon this game, so it can continue to thrive for many more years to come.”
The free to play casual clicker challenges players to collect monsters and characters to build teams and battle to solve puzzles across a range of environments and levels. While the simple sounding idea has certainly had mass appeal, this isn’t the only reason for its success. The game has incorporated a ton of cool crossovers, from the likes of Monogatari to the iconic Kamen Rider.
