Most Anticipated Video Games of 2021

The world of video games has never been as diverse and as exciting as it is now. With a great variety of huge development studios around the world, the players get so many great releases each year, it is hard to even focus on a single game. Today, we are going to take a look at some of the best games that will be released in 2021. Keep in mind that not all of the games we have here have a definitive release date, and some of the games, like the potential Breath of the Wild sequel did not get into that list because we don’t know whether it will be released in 2021. Here we go!

God of War: Ragnarok

The sequel to the 2018’s God of War is set to be released on PS5 the next year becoming one of the major exclusives for that gaming console. The latest installment in the series has gained worldwide recognition and became the game of the year thanks to its amazing characters, insanely brutal combats, and a mythical world of Norse gods, some of which you get to kill. Kratos, the God of War, will continue his journey along with his son Atreus, whose true origin story we are yet to discover. As the ending of the previous game suggests, Kratos and Atreus are about to face Thor, the god of thunder himself. We all know how it’s gonna end, right? Thor is going to get wrecked.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

Yes, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is coming! It’s been 13 years already since the Ukrainian team of developers has given the world the Shadow of Chernobyl, and we are up for the next official installment. Little is known about the next Stalker game, but we are sure to see a detailed world, the new ways of interaction with the characters, including gambling for in-game money. This feature is probably going to be so well-thought, it would feel like playing for real in the gambling apps. So, if you want to prepare, you should probably read reviews on best casino apps and try some casino games before that Stalker game gets released. Apart from that, we will get to explore the Chernobyl zone once again, search for the artifacts, and face hordes of mutants.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite has been through some rough times lately after the release of the gameplay footage that displayed poor graphics and dull combats. The fans of the X-Box old-timey flagman franchise were extremely disappointed by what they’ve seen, which is why the release of the game was postponed. Right now, it is set to be released in 2021, but there are some concerns about the team not being able to almost completely re-make the game in such a short period of time. Though highly anticipated, Halo Infinite is also a game that raises some serious concerns among the fans. Hopefully, Microsoft will be able to present the game fans are hoping to see in 2020. Of course, there will be online battles too, so you’d be able to clash with your friends too.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is expected to become a breath of fresh air for the fans of the series as this game will offer some new features, like large scale city battles, as well as the combinations of old features that became a kind of a staple mark for Far Cry. This time, Ubisoft will take us to South America where the players will take on a military dictator who controls a small country and terrorizes its people.

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake

Another game by Ubisoft, which is not exactly a new game but rather a remake of the old classic game – Prince of Persia The Sands of Time. Yes, the Prince is coming back and we hope for the success of that game because that would mean a full-fledged resurrection of this long-forgotten franchise. If you played the original game, you already know what’s happening there – an evil Vizier tricks the Prince into unleashing the sands of time with his magical dagger, a powerful artifact that gives the player control over time itself. The goal is to crush through the hordes of sand monsters, get back in time, and prevent the Vizier from starting that horrible chain of events. Hopefully, this remake is going to be really good.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

If you want to feel like an immortal blood-sucking goth, there’s no game like the Vampire: Masquerade series. Here, you can become a vampire belonging to one of many factions, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The game will take us to the dark open world where we’ll live the life of a vampire. This, of course, does not only include sucking the blood out of your unsuspecting victims; you’ll have to live and think like a vampire, communicate with other vampires, participate in a variety of activities, and make sure you stay in the shadows.

Kerbal Space Program 2

Little is known about the sequel to Kerbal Space Program, a space program simulator that allows you to take a civilization of Kerbins to the stars. This game takes you through different stages of space exploration, from building the aircrafts capable of leaving the atmosphere of your home planet to building colonies on other space bodies. You can recreate the path of humanity or find your own unique way to the stars. Success depends on your ingenuity.

Wrap Up

Of course, there are so many more games we expect to be released in 2021, but these are some we look forward to playing the most. These are games in different genres and styles, but all of them are sure to deliver. Of course, there are reasonable concerns about some of these games, like Halo Infinite, but hopefully, the developers will be able to deliver on all of their promises and give the fan base amazing games.
