Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity isn’t set to launch on Nintendo Switch until November 20th but that hasn’t stopped the team from releasing a massive demo on the Nintendo eShop. The demo is a prequel to Breath of the Wild and its arrival allows players to get a taste of the game by playing through the entire first chapter. In addition, saved data carries over into the main game once it’s released if purchased.
See Hyrule 100 years before the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game and experience the events of the Great Calamity – Join the struggle that brought Hyrule to its knees. Learn more about Zelda, the four Champions, the King of Hyrule, and more through dramatic cutscenes as they try to save the kingdom from Calamity. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game is the only way to see firsthand what happened 100 years ago.
Those who pre-order the game will receive the Lucky Ladle bonus weapon and those with saved data from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will earn the Training Sword bonus item. Equipping the Training Sword also equips a Pot Lid as a shield and the combo may spawn the Perfect Guard from time to time. The game is available for pre-order for $59.99.
Check out the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Nintendo eShop page for information about the game and to download the demo.
