There seems to be no end to Walking Dead tie in televisions series and games. Overkill’s The Walking Dead is the latest coming down the pike and the company took time to send out a brand new trailer.
In this new cinematic look at the vision Overkill has for the game, we meet Aiden, one of several protagonists that will star in OTWD. Aiden is seen walking through Washington D.C. both before the zombie apocalypse and after they’ve taken over. Let’s just say, it’ ain’t a pretty sight. Then again, if you’ve read, played or watched anything related to Walking Dead, you know how this plays out.

A second video was also released by Overkill to introduce viewers to some of the key development team members there and at Starbreeze Studios.
OTWD will feature co-op and, well, a scary number of zombies and probably what’s become a somewhat pedestrian storyline given how flooded the entertainment industry is with zombie-themed anything. However, we can hope for great writing that just might see some new twists on the psychological impact of life after the apocalypse. It’s possible since the game itself has the support of creator Robert Kirkman.
According to Gamespot, “From the first day he saw the project, it was the co-op action game fans have been waiting for, all coming at the hands of a new long-term partnership between Starbreeze and Kirkman’s Skybound Interactive”. This cooperative effort will last into the next decade if all goes well.
