Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared a new trailer dedicated to the newest Overwatch 2 tank hero Mauga, initially revealed at BlizzCon23. He’s spent his whole life fighting. Now he’s ready to have some fun.
His name means “Mountain,” and despite him portraying himself as this bigger-than-life loud brute, he is actually a cunning tactician who is always a step ahead of his opponents. The new trailer gives a glimpse at that side of his.
Mauga will be joining the roster in Overwatch 2 Season 8: Call of the Hunt. This hero features a kit that is designed to bash through the front lines and brawl his opponents in close-quarter combat. He wields two powerful Chainguns that can either be fired individually or in unison.
Ignite enemies with his Incendiary Chaingun to burn them. And, when they take enough damage, finish them with a critical hit from his Volatile Chaingun. Paired with his Berserker Passive, which grants Mauga temporary health whenever he deals critical damage, he’s a mountain on the battlefield.
