Planet Zoo Headed to Africa on June 22nd

Frontier Developments has announced that Planet Zoo will be expanding on June 22nd with the Africa Pack. The new content is “inspired by Africa’s diverse cultures and rich ecosystems” and is available for $9.99.

Players who purchase the Africa Pack will be able to house several new animals including the Meerkat, Fennec Fox, the African Penguin, the Southern White Rhinoceros, and the Sacred Scarab Beetle that will be sure to delight visitors as it rolls around its impressive dung balls. In addition, over 180 new scenery pieces have been added that are inspired by the architecture of North Africa.

All Planet Zoo players will be treated to Update 1.6 that “brings a range of extras and improvements to the game including behavior updates, habitat webcams, vista points, and a free Timed Scenario set in gorgeous Guatemala”.

To access the new Africa Pack, players will need to have the base game installed. The Steam base version is $44.99 while the Deluxe Edition is $54.99 with a Deluxe Upgrade Pack is available for $11.99.
