PlayStation Plus October Games Lineup Looks Superhot

PlayStation Plus October

Sony has revealed the October lineup of Playstation Plus games.

Playstation Plus subscribers are set to get three new games for their library in October, including the incredible Superhot. Just announced last night and cramming in a mix of different genres, the October Playstation Plus update will drop on 4 October 2022, adding Superhot, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Injustice 2.

Hot Wheels

Anybody with an active subscription to the PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers of the Playstation gaming service will be able to collect, build, and race a huge range of outrageous mini motorized vehicles in this on screen interpretation of the hugely popular die cast toy series. Up to 12 opponents can take to some outrageous tracks via online play, while friends can step up to the start line in two-player split-screen. There’s an option to construct your own tracks, testing the Hot Wheels community with obstacles, boosts, loops, and making your own wacky races.

Injustice 2

While Batman and Superman might be busy kicking butt in MultiVersus, a darker time waits in the second of this trio. Injustice 2 is the follow up to the Injustice beat ’em up, pitting iconic superheroes against each other in its own twisted view of the DC Universe. Designed and built by the team behind Mortal Kombat, Injustice 2 finds a huge threat looming over Earth, an unfathomable choice for the title’s heroes, and a narrative tale that brings together unique variants of classic DC characters and some intense beat ’em up action. With a fantastic solo story, online multiplayer, and its very own progression system Injustice 2 is something of a standout in the fighting genre.

Superhot

Another distinctive twist on established genre tropes, Superhot is a unique mix of FPS and turn based tactics. A minimalist look hides a shooter that finds players outmanned and outgunned, but with careful planning and decisive movements you can come out on top. Superhot manages to stand out with more than a distinctive aesthetic. In this scenario, time moves when you do. There is plenty of time to take careful aim, grab guns, unsheathe knives, or just lob a projectile before sitting back and watching your own handy work in a maddening mix of chaotic gameplay.

Right now, there is still time to gab the Playstation September subscriber games before jumping into the PlayStation Plus October games lineup. Check out the Playstation Blog for more details.
