Trust No One When Dubium Drops Into Steam Next Fest

Dubium, a slick looking social deduction title from Mumo Studios, is set to test friendships during Stean Next Fest, beginning on 3 October.

Prepare to head into the great unknown and try to survive as duplicitous comrades loiter around every corner. Dubium will join the upcoming Steam next Fest lineup. Between 3 – 10 October 2022, players looking to try the limits of reasonable behavior can try out a new demo of this sly social deduction title.

Like other next generation guess who adventures, like First Class Trouble, this version of the Among Us game mode does more than simply present a glossy façade. Set in a near-future sci-fi universe, players take on the role of a trapped explorer and must escape from an abandoned space station by any means necessary. Along the way, participants will play as a Frontier or Traitor.

Frontiers will cooperate to repair solar panels that power the escape pod while trying to uncover the identity of the sole Traitor. Traitors will hide their identity and try to off the rest of the crew to get out of this dilapidated station unopposed. Each faction will have plenty of tools and tactics to use. Mostly, participants will need to simply repair station systems, collect materials, then get out, and that’s where it could all go wrong.

With a limited supply of loot, competing requirements for each of the two factions, and the possibility that one of your own might just switch sides and become. Traitor mid match, you never quite know who to trust. While Dubium doesn’t seem quite as inventive as the likes of Eville, the slick gameplay and constant threat make it worth a look during the upcoming Steam Next Fest. Check out the trailer above for a glimpse of this dubious future and head to the Steam Store page for more.
