Square Enix Has Expanded Its Free Trial for Final Fantasy XIV for Plenty of MMO Fun

Square Enix has expanded its free trial for Final Fantasy XIV, including the base game and two full expansions. Players can wander through the massive lands of one of the most acclaimed MMOs ever created with few restrictions. If players opt to purchase a copy of the game at the end of their free trial period, all characters and “their associated data” will be carried over to the full version of the game.

Free trial features

  • Play to level 70 with all progress retained if players move to the full game.
  • Create and play up to eight characters
  • All Classes and Jobs are playable up to level 70
  • Players can hold up to 300,000 gil, the in-game currency. However, players cannot use chat, the market board, trading, the moogle delivery service, retainers, or Free Companies.
  • Join linkshells and cross-world linkshells
  • Participate in parties if invited
  • Use the Duty Finder to get matched with a party for selected duties

As with any new game, players need to check the system requirements to see if they can play without technical issues.

  • 80GB HDD/SSD space
