Paradox Interactive revealed a new species pack coming to grand strategy Stellaris. The new pack allows players to live death to the fullest with the addition of Necroids, an intelligent undead species that can form empires that thrive where others might perish – and perish that others might thrive!
With the Necroids Species Pack, Stellaris gamers will learn that death is not the end, but rather the beginning of their intergalactic journey as new changes reincarnate playthroughs of Stellaris for long time players, as well as bringing new undeath to established playtypes. To live amongst the Necroids, embracing death is not only encouraged, it’s required!
True to the theme, we wanted the portraits to revolve around death, but not look outright undead or decaying. We never intended the Necroids to be specifically undead, but rather themed around death. Similar to the ships, we will be doing a dev diary in the future to give you a peek into the art process, and also reveal all the new portraits. Stay tuned!

- 1 new pre-scripted Empire
