The Great War: Western Front Release

Petroglyph and Frontier Foundry have announced that The Great War: Western Front will storm onto PC on March 30, 2023. Players will be able to purchase a copy of the game on Steam and Epic Games Store. Those who pre-order will also gain three days of headstart action as they lead their troops across the battlefield.

Players will find a unique hybrid blend of real-time and turn-based strategy elements wrapped in a World War 1 epic. Commanders will take control of either Allied Forces or Central Powers in one of the most crucial theaters of WW1.

Interested fans will be thrilled to learn that a demo of the tutorial section of the game is available thanks to Steam Next Fest. The action sends commanders off to lead the Allied Forces through a section of the campaign followed by The Battle of Passchendaele. Developers are hopeful that the demo will provide the perfect opportunity for players to see and understand the game’s tactical features.

Features include:

  • Dual-role Commander: Discover unparalleled levels of strategic choice as you step into the role of both Theatre Commander and Field Commander.
  • A living world: Battlefields are persistent, and as you continue your push across the Western Front, you will revisit previous battlefields which will still bear the scars and destruction of earlier encounters.
  • Historical authenticity: Revel in an authentic historical strategy game that captures the gravity and intensity of The Great War. Partnering with the Imperial War Museums, their expertise enables us to accurately portray these pivotal moments in history.
  • Choose your side: Play as either the Allied Nations or the Central Powers as you make tactical and strategic decisions to earn victory both on the battlefield.
  • Limitless replayability: No play through is the same as you make decisions great and small to change the outcome of the war.
