Indie developer Supercube has great news for fans of The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation who are looking for more content in the early-access game. The team has laid out its plans for the coming year in a new roadmap showcasing new content players can expect on top of regular bug fixes and balancing.
Each quarter of 2023 will see a significant update deployed. The team will also deploy smaller weekly updates that may include minor patches, hotfixes, vertical content integration, visual updates, optimization, and more. However, the quarterly updates will bring a plethora of new content to players.
Here’s what’s in store for 2023
- Quarter 1: bug fixing, balancing, community feedback, player XP, achievements, and metagame progression
- Quarter 2: The Bear (the game’s first vehicle), the Pilot character class, the Hangar station module, a new exploration experience
- Quarter 3: the 2nd victory condition strategy, the Engineer character class, the Command Center station module, more challenges, quests, and strategic decisions
- Quarter 4: Fire as a new Threat, the Engineer II character class, the Emergency Room station module, “a lot of new ways….to die”
