The Thaumaturge Delay Pushes Paranormal RPG Into March

The Thaumaturge = Wiktor walks down a dark hallway

11 Bit Studios and Fool’s Theory have announced a Thaumaturge delay that sets launch back to 4 March 2024.

The publisher behind RPG The Thaumaturge has announced that gamers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on this interesting new adventure. Originally slated to launch on PC via Steam in December 2023, then February 2024, the delay to this new title from the Frostpunk devs might not be anything to worry about.

Details that dropped last night confirmed that the new launch date is not related to any in game issues, corporate lay offs, or teething problems. Instead, the shift is simply because there’s a glut of games in February. Reviewers already have copies in hand, and the game is confirmed as complete, so we’re not expecting any further delays.

Players looking to experience The Thaumaturge will have plenty of time to get through their backlog this month and then prepare for a trip to Warsaw of the early 1900s. This city exists under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom. Inside the grand cityscape, a population of different ancestries, views, and beliefs all exists. Conflicting beliefs and motivations make this a unique backdrop for paranormal entities that skulk the streets. Esoteric beings that only thaumaturges can truly perceive, and it’s up to players to navigate this world.

Mixing an intriguing story, inventive turn based combat, and a diverse range of ideas, The Thaumaturge delay means launch will arrive 4th March 2024. Check out more on the official Steam Store page now.
