Avalanche Studios Group and Expansive Worlds have announced that theHunter: Call of the Wild has received the massive Granite update. Granite is a paid expansion that adds vast new territories to the game. The northern Appalachian Mountains and the New England Mountains inspire the new content. Hunters will have huge new locations to explore and new wildlife to stalk. The Granite update is available for $7.99 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
In addition to the new locations for players to explore, the Granite update also features a big framerate boost of up to 50FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Players can also expect additional performance boosts and be able to unlock a number of new cosmetic items.
Granite update features
- Players will find stunning surroundings based on wild New England locations. There are open alpine regions, coniferous zones, and mixed woodlands. Players will find lakes and rivers throughout each area, so there are plenty of ways to kick back and relax with nature.
- Several new animal species are available, including the Ring-necked Pheasant, Coyote, and Moose. Players can also run into a Black Bear or Whitetail Deer.
- Players will find the new Patriot .50 cal break-action muzzleloader at any Weapons Cache or Outpost. It’s perfect for hunting large prey, though at a slow reload speed.
- Fans buying the expansion will receive welcome gifts, including the New England Scout Pack with extra cosmetics inside.
All players will receive a free update that improves FPS and includes more animals to hunt.
- The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will receive a framerate boost of up to 60 FPS for a smoother hunting experience.
- Extra animal species across nearly every reserve, giving Hunters plenty of reason to revisit their old favorite spots in search of new prey.
- Already own a previously released reserve? Want to give your weapons a unique flavor? Well, you’re in luck because we are giving all Hunters two free, themed cosmetics for each reserve they own – one paint and one camo. This includes the two reserves in the base game.
- This update also includes a range of performance improvements and minor additions to make your gameplay more enjoyable – an updated Harvest screen with preview, the ability to place/remove waypoints when using binoculars, improved stability on consoles, and various minor tweaks across the game on all platforms.
