Torchlight Mobile isn’t out in the West yet, but it is in China. MMOSite.com has a bundle of information, however, that shows off the game’s three classes including skills and abilities.
Torchlight Mobile – we want it NOW!
As expected, the mobile version of the game is a bit different for mobile devices with a reduction of some features. To make up for it, the classes have some new ways to put the hurt on foes.
If you’ve never played the stand alone PC version of Torchlight, here’s a bit of information.
Torchlight features three classes, each including its own unique skills and abilities:
- Ember Blade – a melee DPS class with a big AoE in close combat
- Engineer – both melee and ranged
- Kitsune – ranged magic user
The classes have a limited number of abilities but to make up for a lack of variety, skill combos are used. Each skill, according to reports, can be used with any one of five others to create quite an impact. This offers 44 ways to kill an enemy. Niiiice!
As is typical of most ARPGs, you’ll head out into the world to kill stuff and get stuff. Simple mechanics are best, right?
Pets are also part of Torchlight and are much the same as they are in the PC version. Pets help with combat and can be useful for carrying extra loot. You can even send them off to town to sell extra stuff.
All in all, TM is shaping up to be a nice port to mobile. Now if it would only come this way.
