Vampire The Masquerade – Swansong Will Launch In May 2022

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong

After yet another delay, Nacon has confirmed that Vampire The Masquerade – Swangsong is finally set to launch on 19 May 2022.

Slotting into Nacon’s new 2022 lineup, Vampire The Masquerade – Swangsong has already been running behind schedule, as we noted back in February this year. While we expected it to land in 2022, this new announcement is yet a further delay to the anticipated video game. The team behind this new adventure released a statement to fans over on social media, noting that the main reason for this setback is to focus on the overall quality of the title when it does release.

Our focus is on crafting a world that draws you in, that requires you to make difficult decisions and live with the consequences. Swansong features lots of characters, choices, dialogues, and opportunities to decide how the story plays and our ultimate focus is on quality. With this in mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to delay the launch of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong from February 2022 to May 2022.

You can find the full statement below.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a solo RPG, developed by Big Bad Wolf, the same group behind The Council. It promises a deep dive into the lore of the famous World of Darkness universe, in which the game is set. The narrative will follow three different vampires, each with their own story, motivation, and clan to answer to. How these eventually intertwine and change the World of Darkness is something we will find out next year.

The delay means the Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will still arrive before Nacon’s Train Life: A Railway Simulator, which is signalling its own delays with a June 2022 date. The remainder of Nacon’s 2022 release schedule also slots Hotel Life: A Resort simulator into the mix sometime in late Q2 2022. If Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is already on your wishlist then you can keep an eye out on the official website, before it arrives across PC and console.
