Witchfire DLSS 3 Trailer Is Pure Magic

Witchfire, an explosive new Grimdark Shooter just revealed what DLSS 3 enhancement can achieve at CES 2023.

Nvidia just wrapped up their CES livestream and among the onslaught of games on show, some rather odd demonstrations of new rendering tech, and unsurprising hardware reveals the GPU manufacturer went hard on DLSS 3. After a delay during last year, Witchfire is set to be one of the games that will include compatibility for this new AI enhancement tool when it starts shooting up desktops in 2023.

The Astronauts used this announcement to reveal a new trailer for their first-person shooter set in a grimdark fantasy . The new trailer gives players a look at a world in which a deadly war rages between powerful witches and the Church. As a powerful witch hunter, eager adventurers will enter into battle, utilizing the most powerful magics the church can offer and some big guns too. The team behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm seem eager to unleash this new NVIDIA tech on these terrors too:

“You start the game, push all graphics options to the max. You enjoy it for a while but then, especially if it’s an action game, you realize that the framerate is king. So you start lowering the quality of visuals in order to achieve that smooth gameplay. DLSS 3 allows the seemingly impossible, high framerate without compromising the visuals. A no brainer for a game like Witchfire, which is both action and beauty.”

For anybody who hasn’t had the opportunity to turn on DLSS, this new iteration of an established tech lends 40 series graphics cards an ability to generate additional high-quality frames and utilize AI tensor cores to fill in the gaps between rendered actions. By guessing what’s going to happen on screen, there’s no need to worry about crunching quite as much data or compromising on graphical fidelity. While DLSS 3 is far more complex than this, you can check out the result in the new trailer above or head over to the NVIDIA CES stream to find out more. For anybody that is looking for more on Witchfire, then you can head over to the Epic Games Store now.
