Star Ocean: The Divine Force is out now on PC and Console

The latest instalment in the iconic JPRG series Star Ocean is out now with the launch of Star Ocean: The Divine Force on PC and console. This impressive looking title in the franchise kicked off a brand new adventure for fans across PC, Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S last night. As the 11th mainline entry in this JRPG brand, The Divine Force isn’t quite a sequel, but instead lands between Star Ocean: Anamnesis and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.. Playing as a wayward captain stranded on an underdeveloped world, players will face off against titanic intergalactic forces waging a proxy war on this planet.

Along the way, as you’d expect, this independently minded space explorer finds a crew of friends, companions, and the fate of more than just a planet at risk. The secrets and conspiracies that unravel could shake the entire known universe. The Divine Force stands out in the Star Ocean Series, giving players a much freer level of movement and a greater ability to explore and interact with a massive game world. This significant upgrade gives players the option of exploring the land and skies of the world and engaging in overhauled battle mechanics.

Presenting something like a mix between the established series and the more recent FFVII remakes, with maybe a nod to the sci-fi staples like Mass Effect, Star Ocean: The Divine Force is an interesting looking adventure. You can check out more about the title over on the official website or by watching the trailer, above.
