The Devil Within: Satgat, a stylish new side-scrolling action adventure from Newcore Games, just got an Epic Megagrant and will be cutting an imposing figure when it lands at the Tokyo Games Show.
Korean developer Newcore Games has just confirmed that its upcoming 2.5D mix of Metroidvania elements and stylish hack and slash systems has cemented its future with an Epic Megagrant. The Epic Megagrant scheme provides financial uplifts to creative, noteworthy, and innovative projects that use the Unreal Engine, with Sagat being one of these. The team behind the title has confirmed that the financial drop will go towards the game’s development as it continues production on its way to a 2023 release on PC and consoles.
This good news also means fans attending the Tokyo Games Show can get hands-on, knowing that the game is certain to make it to release. Newcore will bring a fully playable demo to Tokyo Games Show, between 15-18 September, where it will feature as part of the Korean Pavillion. This slice of Satgat will give players an opportunity to check out the gorgeous artwork, stylish combat, and Metroidvania elements up close. Controlling a seasoned warrior, each player will need to guide this grim faced hero through a once-peaceful world that’s been devastated by evil spirits. Evil comes in many forms and includes a huge variety of enemies, all of which you’ll be able to take on with an arsenal of incredible skills and deadly weapons.
