Konrad the Kitten, available for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality, has been around for a year now. In this next-level Tamagotchi-style VR game, you take care of Konrad, a cute virtual cat. One highlight surely is the optional plush toy mode where you can use your own stuffed animal and bring it to life as a virtual kitten.
Konrad’s Kittens
So far Konrad has been strictly a day-active house tiger, but these days are over now as someone dropped a basket filled with little orphaned kittens overnight. Of course, Konrad immediately took care of the little furballs. After sunset, the door to the new kitten’s room opens where they impatiently wait for him to explore the new world.
You control Konrad to take care of the little ones. Each of the nine unlockable kittens has its own head and needs. There are the adventurous among them Konrad needs to play with, while others are always hungry and need to be fed. And if a kitten gets lost, it is Konrad’s job to find it and bring it home safely. After an exciting and exhausting night, the kittens sleep through the day and dream of Konrad’s next visit.
Snowy Valley
With this latest update, you and Konrad can now explore a brand-new world. In addition to the previous five worlds (living room, bathroom, kitchen, Sunny Beach and forest), the Snowy Valley has opened its gates. For the first time Konrad sees snow here – and he is thrilled! Undaunted, he jumps on a snowboard or has action-packed snowball fights with moles. And as a little snack in between, he snatches the snowman’s carrot nose.
And much more
In addition, the update brings many other features and improvements. Among other things, Konrad appears even more lifelike as he now looks at you directly. In addition, a lot of gameplay elements have been optimized: you now have more influence on the wheel of fortune, and a new quick-start mode lets you skip calibration so you will get into the game faster.
Konrad’s Kittens is out now for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. Check it out here.
