Deliver Us the Moon: Fortuna – Review

You wake up in your room inside the abandoned rocket base, and you think to yourself, “What is this going to take to fix?” You walk over to your storage closet and put your spacesuit on. As you climb into the suit you are constantly thinking that this is it, and you will be leaving Earth, maybe for the last time. You make your way through the courtyard and into the abandoned facility dodging aging technology, and figuring your way around the little details that need to be fixed. The time has come, and you only have ninety seconds to reach the rocket! This is our review for Deliver Us the Moon: Fortuna.

Published and Developed by KeokeN Interactive, comes a game that is part walking, or floating, simulator, part adventure, and all figure out how to save the human race. The Earth has suffered from the loss of natural resources, and things began changing for the worse. Oceans began to dry up and there are massive storms that spring up out of nowhere. The World Space Agency was created to colonize the moon in an attempt to mine a rare source of energy, and at the same time send it back to Earth, powering everything. But suddenly that transfer of energy stops and you are the only one who can figure out why.

You will be blasted into orbit, quite literally, and you will have to discover what happened to everyone on the station orbiting the moon, as well as the moon base itself. You will traverse through these areas by walking, floating, and riding or driving as well. Whether you are inside the moon base, or upon the station, or even on the lunar surface, there will be ways for you to move around in the best way for a space game. Floating through space is half the fun , isn’t it?

As you make your way through the game you will be met with areas where you can listen to recordings of the moon base personnel, you will also find areas where there are recreations of conversations and actions that happened with the moon base personnel as well. I won’t give any of the specifics away because I want you to be surprised like I was with the game. Needless to say, your time exploring the station, and the moon will be filled with some intense moments and rushes to find oxygen to keep yourself moving.

You won’t be completely alone however, you will have the assistance of your trusty robot ASE. ASE is a robot that will help you get into those hard to reach places that a human just can’t get into. He unlocks doors and can fly through air pipes. This little guy can even help you recreate the scenes that we previously talked about. Get ready to fix him up first, because that was pretty interesting in itself.

There will be times when you can’t pass through a certain area, and you think you may have done something wrong or missed something. Let me tell you, the environmental puzzles in this game are phenomenal. They are able to take things that you wouldn’t think were a puzzle, and sneak it in under your nose. You will have fun figuring out how to power certain areas of the stations, and the moon base, and get through areas that you think are impassable. The more you play the more you will discover.
