Goal! – The Club Manager Kicks Off Early Access

Prepare to swap Subbuteo for something a little more digital as new soccer management sim Goal! – The Club manager heads into Early Access today.

While the footballing fraternity of gamers might be more accustomed to the terraces of Football Manager, a new challenger is looking to steal a sneaky victory. Ahead of its inevitable launch, Goal! Is set to kick off some pre-season Early Access on Steam and GoG today. Entry into the early stages of this run is available at a whopping 22% discount, and the lineup looks promising.

While Goal! Isn’t a well known name in many territories, but the pedigree of this upstart is sound. This is the first new entry in the Anstoss series in 16 years, brought to the pitch by d developer 2tainment and publisher Toplitz. While Toplitz is better known for its Medieval Dynasty sim, these verdant green pitches won’t be getting grazed on. Instead, managers picking up Goal! will play the part of sporting director, coach, stadium architect, matchday manager, scout, and more. Every element of running a successful sporting club seems set to pop up before picking a team and sending them out for a matchday display.

While Early Access means things can change, the team behind Goal! already has a roadmap. This details the line-up of tutorials, commentary, bug fixes, match day enhancements, optimizations, and further features to be released at regular intervals. If expanding the influence of a club, enhancing your own abilities, and performing tactical miracles isn’t quite satisfying enough, multiplayer mode will also take to the field during Early Access. So, whether it’s ElClásico or the cauldron of The Old Firm, Goal! – The Club Manager should prove a fitting way to trounce friends and maybe even take on the big names too.
