The core of this update covers a huge environment, including the forests that make way for Monte Tomba, Castel Cesil and Monte Palon. As things transition to a rockier set of soil and fortified ridges, any incoming Italians must defend the peak of Cima Della Mandria. Along the way this will mean overcoming trenches, steep climbs, cave systems, and other geological hazards of this region. It’s a definite change of pace for anybody sick of muddied fields. Troops will head into the Grappa expansion with a bunch of new arms too. Italians will receive the Revolver Orbea Hermanos – Tettoni 1916, whereas Austro-Hungarian soldiers will be able to make use of the Gasser M1870. Meanwhile, the Germans will get to use the Dreyse M1908. If you’re more concerned about looking good in the heat of battle, then a new Expedition Units Pack for the German troops will also be live on 17 May. This includes 12 uniforms, 24 headgear items, 2 facial items, 7 facial hair items and 3 faces.
Isonzo might seem like just another WWI shooter, but this historical FPS takes a different look at the campaigns that shaped Europe. Rather than dig into desolate fields, this title takes a dip into the high-altitude Alpine warfare throughout Italy.
