Sandox Interactive has announced that the closed beta for the Albion Online East server has begun. This new server is dedicated to MMO players in the Asia-Pacific region and offers them several benefits, including faster connection speeds and more.
Features of the East server include:
- A new and untouched version of the game, where all players start as equals and can claim their own piece of Albion;
- A game world that is fully separate and independent from the existing “Albion West” server;
- Greatly improved connection speeds and ping for the whole Asia-Pacific region;
- Timings of game and server events (territory battles, Crystal League, Faction Warfare, maintenance, etc.) that are optimized for the region;
- Founders can participate in the closed beta and Beta Guild Season before server launch, with accelerated Fame progression, gain early access to the full server launch, and reserve existing character and guild names.
In addition to the features mentioned above, those who take part in the beta will also have access to a 3-week Beta Guild Season. Players will earn a number of goodies for their participation. These include:
- Automatic Premium for all players
- +100% Fame from gathering, farming, and PvE
- +200% Resources from gathering and fishing
- +200% Silver from mobs
- Resource weight reduced by 66%
- All characters start with 2000 Learning Points
- the Arcanist Vanity Bundle (will be unlocked on both servers)
The goal of the beta is to iron out any bugs or other issues. In addition the team will be working with the community to ensure a smooth gaming experience. The East server will launch on March 20th. Founders who purchase a special pack will be able to dive in on March 15th.
