EA and Dice have updated the Battlefield 2042 site with a first look at this week’s QoL update and a peek ahead at the upcoming Seasonal Event. The latter will feature the Arkangel Legion, though developers are being cagey about details. They have promised, however, to reveal more details as the event’s launch nears.
In the meantime, this week will mark the deployment of an extensive new patch featuring a plethora of quality-of-life improvements targeting the recently-released New Dawn content update. Update 5.1.0 will be released for all platforms later this week.
Patch 5.1.0
- Vault Weapons will start receiving All-Out Warfare attachments. Assault Rifles and the GOL Sniper Magnum have already received theirs. Marksman Rifles will be next with the M39 EMR and the SVD.
- Players will see the new “Low Vehicle Health” warning when trying to spawn on vehicles from the deployment screen. “We have also restricted the ability to spawn on foot with the CAV-Brawler should the vehicle be at capacity and in combat. This prevents your untimely death upon spawn.”
- A number of audio, general, and gameplay improvements are included.
- Maps, Modes, and the Battlefield Portal have all been tweaked.
- Specialist Gadgets have been given the once-over.
- A number of adjustments have been made to vehicles.
