EA and DICE have announced that Battlefield 2042 has been updated with the v4.2 patch, bringing a complete overhaul to the Discarded map. In addition, players will find a number of quality-of-life improvements that should make for a smoother gameplay experience.
The Discarded map rework comes with tons of improvements and additions. Making infantry gameplay more enjoyable and accessible, the rework features new flags, with some now found closer to the main play areas. In addition, several new paths and roads across the map have been added. Discarded is the second-to-last launch map to be reworked, ahead of the Hourglass map coming in Season 5.
In addition to the reworked map, Update 4.2 includes improvements to collection and customization, changes to the End of Round interface, improvements to Ewelina Lis’ mastery, and changes to Uniform Soldier Aiming (now always on!).
