Behold The Legacy of Crassus Returns To New World

The Legacy of Crassus Returns To New World - player in roman armor

Crassus reigns again in Aeternum thanks to the latest update to Amazon’s MMORPG, New World.

Starting today and running all the way through until 23 January, players who fancy themselves heroes of Aeternum will find themselves fighting off a familiar foe once more. The Legacy of Crassus event is back in New World, bringing with it a whole wave of challenges, loot, and enemies to hack down out in this mythical land.

Featuring something of a monstrous Roman twist, the shadow of Roman tyranny casts itself over Amazon’s newly invigorated MMO. Not long after Eternal Frost, legions of monsters are marching into view, and it’s up to you to cut them down. Legions of players are expected to join forces to take on General Crassus’s monstrous captains. Lucanus and Decimus, brothers bound by blood and battle are now transformed to stone by the Curse of Medusa and warped into mythic monster. They will stop at nothing to fulfil their final command. These two horrific warriors tower over mere mortals, but that makes the loot extra special.

Event specific rewards for taking down these two include a pair of suspect looking statues, mementos of your victory. More useful for busy hands is the 19th Legion Pickaxe, pictured above. For anybody looking to really look like a Roman, the dedicated Decimus and Lucanuis armor set makes this challenge even more appealing.

Daily bonus rewards are also on offer for defeating the troublesome twosome, including:

• Cyclops Lucanus Statuette – Housing Item
• Cyclops Decimus Statuette – Housing Item
• 19th Legion Pickaxe – Pickaxe
• Wrath of Decimus – Great Axe
• Hoplites Great Blade – Great Sword
• Sagittar of Lucanus – Bow
• Vesuvius – Fire Staff
• Galea of Lucanus – Medium Helm
• Cuirass of Decimus – Heavy Chest Armor
• Fists of Decimus – Heavy Gauntlets
• Braccae of Lucanus – Medium Legwear
• Hobnailed Boots of Lucanus – Medium Boots

If you’re ready to take on the challenge then head to Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove and tear down the banners of the Republic.
