Curve Games and Homo Ludens have announced Blooming Business: Casino. Sim gamers will love the retro Vegas-styled aesthetics combined with cute animal inhabitants. Gameplay provides players with a satirical take on the typical tycoon formula. Fans can look forward to rolling the dice on PC via Steam sometime in 2023.
The announcement came alongside a brand new trailer to showcase graphics and some gameplay elements.
Developers tout the unique sim-management gameplay of BBC by highlighting its narrative twist. Players must design, build, and run their own retro casino in order to become successful entrepreneurs. It’s a bustling world full of drama and danger oddly juxtaposed against cute critters. However, gamers shouldn’t be fooled by looks: These animals are anything but cuddly. The goal is, of course, to survive and thrive and attain maximum client satisfaction while catering to customers’ needs.
According to developers, animals were chosen as NPCs due to the fact that they are much easier to recognize from a bird’s eye view. Since the game is played top-down, it made sense to provide players with visual clues.
