Bone Up on Viking History with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Podcast

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to arrive on November 10th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. To help players better understand the lore and history behind the Viking-themed game, Ubisoft has released a series of five podcasts called “Echoes of Valhalla” that covers a wide array of topics. All five episodes are available exclusively on Spotify, each running about 15-20 minutes in length.

The series doesn’t speak much about the game as it is designed to educate similar to a documentary. Speakers include historians discussing a variety of different parts of Viking life with details about domestic and military aspects.

Episodes include:

  • Episode 1: The Sons of the Great North
  • Episode 2: Dragon of the Seas
  • Episode 3: Thor’s Hammer
  • Episode 4: Birth of an Empire
  • Episode 5: The Dawn of a New Era

Ubisoft has also released seven tracks from the upcoming game on Spotify. Composers include Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner, and Einar Selvik.
