Overcrowd: A Commute ‘Em Up Pulls Out of Early Access Today

If you’re finding something missing in your daily lockdown life then fear not, Overcrowd: A Commute ‘Em Up Launches Today.

Originally out on Early Acess around 15 months ago, Overcrowd is a management sim that might look somewhat familiar to anybody working in a major city. The cramped corridors and standing room only of almost every major transit system acts as the backdrop for this metro management simulator.

Just like STATIONFlow from DMM Games, Overcrowd puts you in charge of the trains and transit under city streets. Brought to life by the indie team at Squareplay Games it challenges you to build the perfect station as millions of citizens bustle around Lubdon Town trying to get to and from their destinations. The top down pixelated passengers all come with their own needs and desires and you’ll need to build a station that caters to them all, from the ground up. You’ll excavate and build the floors, corridors, and escalators to carry your guests, make sure there are plenty of amenities, all while dealing with station-wide events from rat plagues to football matches. Watch out for vandals, hoodlums and norovirus too.

The launch of Overcrowd 1.0 adds a whole carriage of extra adds ons for conductors ready to take on this challenge. The Everyday People update that is bundled with this launch features dozens of new commuters, including punks, wheelchair users, hoodies, cane users, suits and more. Lubdon Town feels more vibrant and alive than ever. If you fancy getting on board this mind-boggling platform management sim then head over to the official Steam Store page to find out more, and grab Overcrowd for a launch discount, or check out the bustle of Lubdon Town in the trailer above.
