The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developer blog has been updated with a new post to announce that the multiplayer component of the game will be free to play from now through Thursday, December 24th. Players will have access to the full game spread across 18 multiplayer maps and take part in special playlists including Nuketown Holiday 24/7 and Prop Hunt.

The CoD:BOCW multiplayer content will be split into two unique sessions:

  • December 17-21 will include Team Deathmatch, Domination, 2v2 Gunfight, Nuketown Holiday 24/7 playlist, and Raid the Mall playlist
  • December 21-24 will include all Stage 1 modes and playlists as well as Prop Hunt, Combined Arms Hardpoint, and Fireteam Dirty Bomb

In addition to playing through the multiplayer content, players will also be treated to double XP and double weapons bonuses through December 21st. After that, a double Battle Pass XP bonus kicks in for pass owners.
