CD Projekt Red Continues Working on Cyberpunk 2077 Remotely

Many fans have wondered how the developers from CD Projekt Red are doing and whether or not the COVID-19 concerns will affect the release date of the studio’s current title Cyberpunk 2077.  Previously, the threat of the coronavirus saw many studios pull out from GDC which resulted in the convention being postponed. The team has taken to Twitter to alleviate those concerns:

“Dear all,

Many of you are probably wondering how things are at CD PROJEKT RED and how COVID-19 influences our day-to-day operations. Here’s a short update.

Over the past week, we have been adapting to the situation and gradually rolling out preventive measures across our entire organization. We have also been upgrading equipment & infrastructure and working towards enabling our employees to work remotely, from the safety of their homes.

Today, as a result of that preparation, CD PROJEKT RED switches to full remote work for as long as it is needed. We think this will grant every team member the highest level of personal health safety. And while this all is a bit new to everyone, we are rising to the challenge and showing no signs of stopping in our effort to bring you some kick-ass role-playing action in September.

Stay safe, everyone!

About Cyberpunk 2077:

Night City, California. Year 2077. The world is broken. MegaCorps manage every aspect of life from the top floors of their sky-scraping fortresses. Down below, the streets are run by drug-pushing gangs, tech hustlers, and illegal braindance slingers. The in-between is where decadence, sex and pop culture mix with violent crime, extreme poverty and the unattainable promise of the American Dream.

You are V, a cyberpunk. In a world of cyberenhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend.
