Create a Destiny’s Sword Character to Fight For You

Destiny's Sword

2Dogs is inviting fans of Destiny’s Sword to head to its Steam page to “wishlist” the game. As a reward for doing so, wishlisters can create a Trooper and be entered into a drawing for a copy of Lucidium Run, the prequel novel penned by New York Times best-selling author M.D. Cooper. Entries for the drawing will end when PAX Online stops on September 20th. However, wishlisters can still create characters beyond that point.

Wishlisters can create a custom character which is cool in and of itself, but what makes this event even more interesting is that these characters will be the first ones to try out all of the unique mechanics coming to the game. Destiny’s Sword is “a living RPG” that deals with a number of factors that most games eschew. These include mental health issues as related to those who engage in combat as a way of life.

When 10,000 characters have been created, developers will use them to take part in an in-depth gameplay simulation. They will utilize all of the game’s mechanics and strategic RPG gameplay. But even cooler is the fact that wishlisters will receive monthly reports about how their unique characters are faring during the sim. Each monthly report will include their Trooper’s individual battlefield performance, medical logs, and engineering reports. Players will be able to keep track of their Trooper as well as his or her evolution based on their experiences within the game.

Check out the Destiny’s Sword official site to learn more about how to get the game wishlisted on Steam and then complete the survey to make your Trooper.

About Destiny’s Sword

In Destiny’s Sword you’re the commander of a team of skilled troopers – and the only thing that can get in their way is themselves.

Every recruit has their own story to tell, their own reasons for getting involved. Their experiences while under your command will shape their development and affect their performance. As you get to know your squad on and off the battlefield you will explore the full depth of the human condition. Empathy will be your most powerful tool.
