Dubium, the oddly named highs takes social deduction game from MUMO Studio, has launched an open beta test on PC.
Prepare to launch yourself into a world of high stakes maintenance, treacherous colleagues, and the cold unforgiving atmosphere of outer space. It might sound like a scenario for popular social deduction title Among Us, but Dubium brings a few twists of its own to this brand of multiplayer mayhem. After an initial closed round of testing, the South Korean team behind this bold new frontier has opened up to all comers, inviting players to gather on Steam and propel themselves into an adventure where they must retrieve valuable data from a now defunct space station.
New Astronauts will need to complete a range of tasks, working together to do a job that it seems a remote drone might’ve been better suited to, especially when a traitor is on board too. Following classic genre tropes, this asymmetrical find your foes style gameplay comes with a few extras this time around. Alongside the high def aesthetic and a more contemporary feel than First Class Trouble, the evil Blamane corporation could turn any of your friends at a moment’s notice, making everyone a potential turncoat.
For anybody who isn’t quite ready to full medieval on the genre but want’s something a little different to the established big hitters, then the Dubium playtest is ongoing right now. You can heck out more about it and request access over on the official Steam Store page right now.
