Demon Turf Is Out Now

Demon Turf, the latest escapade from Playtonic Friends, is out to slay the demon king today.

Venturing out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch, Demon Turf is the latest title from Fabraz, the creators of Slime-san and a monstrously good looking retro platformer. This polygonal 3D platforming adventure might look all bright colors and early 2000s chich but it looks like it is still going to be plenty of fun. By mixing 2D drawings with 3D environments, players can jump into a uniquely boisterous Demon World and take over some turf.

Playing as a young upstart demon called Beebz, players picking up Demon Turf will find themselves taking on a range of carefully crafted levels that constantly introduce new challenges as well as engaging bosses full of character and life! Until Beebz gets to them. While busily beating up the local demon gang leaders Beebz will be able to pull off some clever platforming combinations getting hands on with a special physics-driven combat system that ramps up the chaos and fun. There are plenty of unique challenges to add to the clobbering fun, like photo mode, and don’t be surprised if this tongue in cheek title busts out some raps along the way.

While this brazen attitude might seem a bit risky, Playtonic isn’t new to this sort of high energy action platformer. They developed Yooka-Laylee after all. This is one of the more colorful entries in Playtonic’s recent branch out into publishing however and at least mildly faster than the recent release of Little Golf Journey. If you still longingly prize your PS1 then this is definitely worth a look. Demon Turf is out now on just about every available platform so check out the trailer or official website or more details.
