Warner Bros. Games, Portkey Games, and Avalanche Software have sent out the launch trailer for Hogwarts Legacy ahead of next week’s release. The trailer is set to launch on February 10th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will launch on April 4th. The Nintendo Switch version will launch this summer on July 25th.
The trailer offers viewers a welcoming view of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Players take on the role of an aspiring wizard in this open-world ARPG. They will become part of the area’s magic and live out their dreams as a student.
The game is considered an open-world ARPG set in the magical world of Harry Potter. Players will set off on a journey that takes them through well-known locations such as the main hall, Diagon Alley, and many others. In addition, players will visit new places as they explore the world. Along the way, they’ll encounter magical beasts, customize their characters, craft potions, master spell-casting, upgrade, talents, and much more. The goal is, of course, for players to become the wizard they want to be.
The game is set in 1800s Hogwarts. The player is a unique student who “holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart.” Players will create alliances with other characters, battle Dark Wizards, and become the linchpin in deciding the fate of the wizarding world.
