Diablo IV Outlined Endgame

Developer Blizzard Entertainment has taken to the official site to introduce players to the endgame of the upcoming aRPG Diablo IV, arriving in June. To bring players up to speed, the team shared a new video that dissects various systems and elements of the game that heroes of Sanctuary will encounter on their journey of making their characters stronger.

There will also be the Diablo IV developer update livestream on April 20th – don’t miss out on the latest news from hell! It will detail how the team will translate player feedback into the actual gameplay improvements.

“Join associate game director Joseph Piepiora, game director Joe Shely, lead game producer Kayleigh Calder, and game producer Ash Sweetring as they elaborate on these aspects of Diablo IV in the below developer video: Capstone and Nightmare dungeons, Paragon Boards and the Codex of Power, Overworld experiences, and Fields of Hatred.”

After players have finished the campaign, there is a lot of game to still participate in, so much so that you will never find yourself having a lack of something to do. Once you complete the Capstone dungeon, you will gain access to the first World Tier. And, finishing that, you will have an option to upgrade to further World Tiers that involve powerful loot, new items, stronger enemies and more.

As your character grows in power, you’ll start with the skill tree and expand out into the Paragon system. The new Paragon board has a lot more depth and customization compared to its D3 counterpart. You can rotate the board and choose different paths. There is also the Codex of Power, an endgame system that holds the aspects related to the character.

Nightmare dungeons are going to give players the opportunity to flex their strength in a previously experienced dungeon, beefed up to accommodate your impressive strength. You will enter such a dungeon with a sigil that alters the playstyle and the intensity of what awaits you inside. Nightmare dungeons are more difficult and have additional objectives as well as affixes for you and your group to play around.

The forces of Hell have more influence in the parts of Sanctuary called the Helltide areas that feature even more powerful monsters. Taking them down provides players with special shards that can be spent on the caches found throughout these areas for some sweet, sweet loot.

There are also parts of the world called the Fields of Hatred that give players a chance to engage in PvP. In these fields, you can gather special shards that need be purified before you can spend them. Other players will know and will try to get in your way, so be prepared to fight!
