Developer Blizzard Entertainment has taken to the official site of Diablo IV with a new blog post to prepare players for the arrival of Season of Blood. The second season of Diablo IV will kick off on October 17th, bringing along new content and many changes. The team is adding more Endgame activities, significantly increasing Experience gains to reduce the journey to Level 100 and increasing the ability to specifically target Uniques and Uber Uniques.
In the Season of Blood, players will have to harness the power of the vampiric scourge to successfully defend themselves from its originators including the Blood Seekers that shadow your every move.
Beginning with Season of Blood, players will now have the option to skip the Campaign after completing the Missing Pieces quest from the Prologue on the Seasonal Realm. Choosing to do so will allow you to jump right into the Seasonal content.
In the blog post, the team detailed changes to Elemental Resistances, Unique Items and New Stats related to them, larger existing Stat ranges, adding Stats to new slots and much more.
Additionally, the way the damage is calculated in Diablo IV is receiving an overhaul. Player damage numbers will be lower overall due to the lower multiplicative synergy of mixing different damage buckets. However, Monsters and enemies have been rebalanced around the new player power. You can still kill the monsters you were killing before about just as quickly.
Diablo IV is also going through a a slew of balance updates and general improvements to Classes to address community feedback.
