Square Enix and tri-Ace have released a console demo for Star Ocean The Divine Force. The demo is available to download and play for free on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It offers players a peek at the first part of the game and introduces them to several characters and features. It’s a good leg up ahead of the October 27th release date.
Players will be able to choose from either of the two protagonists. Raymond is the captain of the space trading ship, Ydas. Laeticia is a princess-knight from a kingdom on an underdeveloped planet. With such different backstories, players will have lots of reasons to replay the game after the first go-round.
The demo allows players to travel as Raymond and to try out a sample of the expansive sci-fi fantasy world. He’ll fight in fast-paced battles, explore a rich and beautiful game world, and experience some of the original story.
Pre-orders are open for the Standard Edition physical edition as well as a Digital Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. Each one comes with the base game as well as in-game goodies such as exclusive weapons for the two characters and “Pawns,” the currency for the Es’owa mini-game.
