Black Salt Games and Team17 Digital have announced the launch of The Pale Reach for its acclaimed game, Dredge. The expansion is available for $5.99 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GoG.
Developers have released an all-new trailer that showcases the frozen wasteland into which players will sail. Along the way, players will explore this brand-new biome and collect new equipment to do so. For instance, players will need the “icebreaker” attachment to get through the frozen water. Players will need to trawl the frozen depths and travel through icy canyons looking for a doomed expedition that has been lost to time. There are eleven new fish to collect, as well as a crab species and their “aberrant” counterparts.

- Unravel a Mystery: Captain your fishing trawler across a collection of remote islands, each with its own inhabitants to meet, wildlife to discover, and stories to unearth
- Dredge the Depths: Scour the sea for hidden treasures and complete quests to gain access to strange new abilities, including the camera to unlock the new Photo Mode
- Study Your Craft: Research special equipment and upgrade your boat’s capabilities to gain access to rare fish and valuable deep-sea curios
- Fish to Survive: Sell your discoveries to the locals to learn more about each area, and upgrade your boat to reach even more secluded locations
- Fight the Unfathomable: Strengthen your mind and use your abilities to survive trips out on the water after dark.
The Iron Rig expansion is set to arrive in early 2024.
