Developer HoYoverse held a lengthy special program for the upcoming Version 4.0, coming to Genshin Impact very soon. It’s time to travel to Fontaine, a nation of Justice ruled over by the Archon Focalors. As always, a new main version means new region, new mechanics and features, weapons, artifacts, achievements, events and, of course, characters! Dive right in to learn more.

The upcoming Version 4.0: As Light Rain Falls Without Reason will introduce three new playable characters that have previously been featured in various Fontaine trailers. The three siblings Lyney (5-star Pyro Bow), Lynette (4-star Anemo Sword) and Freminet (4-star Cryo Claymore) will be among the first character you will meet – and possibly invite to join you on your adventures – in Fontaine. Players that have reached Adventure Rank 25 will also get a free copy of Lynette.
Genshin Impact – Version 4.0 Character Banners:
- Phase I: Lyney (5-star Pyro Bow) & Yelan (5-star Hydro Bow), Lynette (4-star Anemo Sword);
- Phase II: Zhongli (5-star Geo Spear) & Tartaglia (5-star Hydro Bow), Freminet (4-star Cryo Sword).
Of course, the signature 5-star weapons of the 5-stars will be available during the respective phase on the weapon banner, including the brand new 5-star bow for Lyney, The First Great Magic. The young magician will also receive his Story Quest – Felis Fuscus Chapter: Act I.

- New events! Version 4.0 will see 5 events: Mega Meka Melee (awards a free Bennett), Relic Records: Creations of the Hydro Nation, Studies in Light and Shadow: A Fontaine of Enchantment, Verdict of Blades and Ley Line Overflow.
