FFXIV relaunched a two week, free to play event for retuning adventurers.
Lapsed FFXIV players can grab a full 14 days of free play time in the hugely successful MMORPG between now and 31 August 2023. Following on form recent updates and recent Fan Fest event, Square Enix has thrown open the doors to those of us who might not have paid our bunny boys all the attention we should have. This doesn’t mean anybody can grab some free play time, however. The invite event is available to individuals that have not subscribed to the MMO for the last 90 days or more.
This free event is a great opportunity for players who want to log in and catch up with events ahead of the recently announced Dawntrail expansion. If you grabbed a free copy of Stormblood but haven’t had the push to log in an get through the tale, then 14 days should be plenty of time to power through. While 14 days doesn’t sound like a ton of time, FFXIV doesn’t run these promos often, and I’ve seen the subscription-based title go as low as a few days. That’s barely enough time to remember how the UI works.
The returning player event page on the FFXIV Lodestone website holds full details. Players across PC, Steam, Mac, and PlayStation can grab the time. The 14 days of play time will begin as soon as you log in, so I’d hold on to grind out those levels through the weekend. Check out more on the official FFXIV website now.
