Grounded 1.0 Marks the Game’s Full Release

Grounded 1.0

Obsidian Entertainment has announced that Grounded 1.0 is now available after two years in early access. The release of v1.0 marks the game’s transition from early access to full release. The 1.0 version brings some new content and improvements that are all revealed in the patch notes. Players across several gaming platforms can now pick up and play the game. It is available for $39.99 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10/11, and Steam. It’s also part of Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The development team worked closely with the community to ensure it was meeting expectations. With v1.0, that work comes to its fruition. Here are some of the awesome things players can expect in v1.0.

New Grounded features in v1.0
  • 13 biomes
  • 44 creatures
  • 10 total minutes of pre-rendered cutscenes
  • hundreds of new lines of dialogue
  • eight new creatures
  • three new bosses
  • five new armor sets
  • nine new weapons
  • new building materials
  • nine new achievements including some secret story-based achievements

Players will be happy to hear that all progress attained in the early access version of the game will carry over into v1.0. All previous save games, items, bases, recipes, and other unlocked features have been retained. “Story quests and progression of the science labs will be reset and will need to be progressed through again to align with story flow.” To achieve this, developers recommend starting a new game to “experience the full and complete story.”

The Grounded soundtrack is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services. There are some new tracks from Finishing Move and a new end credits song by Marc Rebillet. The soundtrack can be purchased for $9.99 or as part of the upgraded game price at $44.99.
