Aliens, Office Politics, and a Really Big Gun
If you’ve missed the boat for your summer internship don’t worry. Canada’s NVYVE studios have a spot left. If you don’t mind battling your way through office politics, while working on a top-secret project to save humanity, then Hypergun is coming in summer 2018.
This first-person shooter comes from the same team that crafted survival horror P.A.M.E.L.A. and puts players in the shoes of intern Dewey Owens. After an alien invasion, top minds at DevTech Labs set to work on the Hypergun experiment, creating a simulator that will hopefully provide the human race with a weapon to defeat their uninvited guests.
In an effort to get a little extra credit Dewey seems to spend the weekend crawling through this simulation. A whole gaggle of procedurally generated levels awaits and over 150 swappable weapon components are featured. Hordes of enemies, some wicked looking boss battles, and a class system are all crammed into a blistering neon facade, which seems to race along at an impressive pace.
