Pick your weapon one last time with a free finale to the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla saga. Sony has just released God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla on the PlayStation Store. A free epilogue to the latest in this series of god killing quests, Valhalla is more than just a moment to reminisce.
Set after the events of Ragnarök, Kratos is sent to the shores of the eponymous afterlife. With only Mimir by his side, he is pushed to take a deeply reflective journey that unfolds in an unusual gameplay format. Rather than the narrative novella you might expect in tying up loose ends, this is closer to a roguelite. Facing off against his path, and a brand-new location in the franchise, our hero must overcome the trials within himself. Mostly that means cutting down everything that he comes across with a range of familiar combat mechanics.
Like any decent roguish gameplay system, death is not the end. On respawning Kratos will have access to his weapons, skills, shields, and abilities, but each new attempt will reset his Stats, Runic Attacks, and Perks.
