If You Love Retro Games Then You Need To See The Evercade EXP

Retro Gaming fans who haven’t decided to go full DIY will want to have a look at the slick new trailer for the Evercade EXP.

Forget Nintendo’s diabolical online emulation service. Blaze Entertainment just announced a stylish new way to play retro games that adds something of a premium for those who don’t have time to simply DIY their own throwback adventures. The company behind the home based Evercade VS retro console has revealed a new handheld twist on their retro gaming lineup, called the Evercade EXP. This Switch inspired handheld is due to hit shelves soon but pre orders for this on the go retro experience will open on 6 September.

Specifications

While we might not cover a ton of retro consoles here at Gamespace, this one feels a little different. The outer shell features a 4.3 inch IPS screen, premium looking buttons, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the ability to play in both portrait and landscape orientation.

In addition to the device itself, the new Evercade handheld also includes an entire suite of physical cartridges, all boxed with a manual. If you haven’t experienced the joy of holding a game and knowing, it’s yours then you’re in for a treat. The lineup of tiny games includes titles from Namco, Team17, Interplay, Atari, and more. They are interchangeable between the newer device and the desktop Evercade, meaning there’s nothing stopping current arcades from getting out and about.
