Lake Is Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Launch Trailer Delivers a look at Providence Oaks on Nintendo handheld.

Ditch The city and try out the laid-back life of a mail carrier. The chilled-out adventure, Lake, is available now on Nintendo Switch. Dropping onto the Nintendo eShop, with a 25% launch discount, this new release means players looking to escape the desk job can do so on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for an RRP of $19.99.

Publisher Whitehorn games, the same outfit behind Calico, Mythwrecked, and Skatefish, also unveiled a new trailer to celebrate the news that we can all sack off work, slouch back, and deliver mail in a picturesque small town. Travelling back to 1986, it depicts gloriously rustic townscape where 40 something city rat Meredith arrives for a working holiday. Filling in for her Dad, she is tasked with handling the local mail.

The concept might sound mundane compared to blowing demons back to Hell, but that’s kind of the point. Exploring a beautifully crafted lakeside location, players will ditch smartphones and social media and explore Meredith’s relationship with the townsfolk. You’ll rekindle old friendships while getting to know the residents and their unique personalities. Take time out to enjoy a slice of life after you clock out, heading to hang out or curling up with a good book. With a branching narrative that received a very positive reception on its initial launch, Lake looks like a great way to unwind.
You can grab lake on the Nintendo Switch eShop now or head to the official website for more.
