Tower Of Fantasy has dropped a new trailer and a bunch more detail on how weapons are set to work when this upcoming adventure goes live.
Ahead of a Q3 2022 release date, Tower of Fantasy’s publisher has dropped a ton of new information for players looking to jump straight into battle. Level Infinite just released a run down of how weapons work, with some further detail on how they impact the way you’ll play this game.
The dynamic action combat that sits at the core of Tower of Fantasy is heavily reliant on its weapon system. With twelve weapon types in game, and three equip able at any one time, there are tons of options to choose from. Each of the equipped armaments has four types of skills: general attack, dodge, weapon-specific, and combination. Each of these skills provides the following effect:
- Combination Attack: When the target of an attack is fully charged, switching weapons can trigger a combo attack.
- Phantom Time: Dodge before the monster hits to trigger Phantom Time, and build up the weapon’s original energy. Switching weapons will trigger the combo attack.
- Elemental Restraint: Monsters have unique weaknesses, trigger the correct elemental attack to deal more damage.
- Non-Attribute Shield: This shield has no elemental resistance, no elemental damage reduction effect and is recommended for use together with monster weakness weapons.
- Physical Shield: The Cyan Physical Shield is significantly less likely to be broken by physical weapons when subjected to shield breakage. Elemental weapons can exploit their weaknesses.
All in, this makes for a huge number of ways to approach any encounter, but this description might sound a little confusing. The easiest way to get a handle on how this all works together is by pressing play on the accompanying trailer above. The new battle trailer should easily outline how these weapons influence the diverse range of PvE, PvP, and multiplayer content that will be on offer in Tower of Fantasy.
