Rocket League Sideswipe just came crashing through its first year and somehow still has a driving license. All the better for players with Season 6.
Kicking off on 16 November and due to mark a year of mobile motorized action, Season 6 of Rocket League Sideswipe will introduce a new game event, new challenges, and a special Rocket League crossover.
Rocket League’s ever popular Heatseeker will make its way onto the small screen when this game mode parks up in Sideswipe. In this mode, whenever the ball is hit by a team or hits a goal rim, it automatically flies towards the opposing team’s goal. Unlike normal game modes this means there’s a risk to just punting the ball field. This new game mode replaces Volleyball in Ranked, so best get ready for some chaotic mid-match action with this new entrant.
TO celebrate the first year of this mobile spin off, Rocket League will crossover with Sideswipe. Between 16-23 November 2022, drivers will be able to complete challenges in Sideswipe to earn an Octopus Player Banner in both Rocket League and this small screen sport. Other in game challenges will also reward participants with anniversary themed rewards in Sideswipe. Players must be logged into Sideswipe with the same Epic Games Account used for Rocket League in order to unlock the contents of the crossover event.
Of course, rewards for the previous season will come into accounts when the newest set of events kicks off. There’s also a new Rocket Pass, a new Collision Mutator, and more tweaks coming to game. Check out all the detail over on the official Rocket League Sideswipe website. You can get in on tis crossover action on iOS and Android now for free.
