Mojang has announced that a new DLC is coming to Minecraft Education and Bedrock servers to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The DLC is called “LatinExplorers: A Hispanic Heritage Journey” and was created in collaboration with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. The content explores how Latinos are leading the way by helping those in need, standing up for others, and expressing what makes everyone truly special. The goal is to introduce students and players to real-life Hispanic leaders through three narratives: Climate, Care, Creativity, and Community. The DLC is available in 29 languages for both the Education Edition and Bedrock via the Marketplace.
LatinExplorers: A Hispanic Heritage Journey is a game-based learning experience created in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. This adventure presents a new way to build leadership, social emotional skills, and teaches young people how leaders in the Hispanic community can inspire them to take actions in their own communities!
Teachers will find a fully-realized teaching plan to help their students achieve specific goals within the DLC’s framework.
